Here we are again on our beer adventures this time Warsaw. (Updated May 2022)
Warsaw is one of the Polish cities that is at the fore front of the "Craft" beer revolution that the country is now going through. So it is very exciting times to be a beer drinker in this city now.

Warsaw is the capital of Poland. This amazing city is full of contrasts, question marks and surprises. It will excite and inspire you.
The oldest part of Warsaw, founded at the turn of the 13th century, is the Old Town. Its streets form a regular chessboard pattern typical for medieval towns. Among the most notable landmarks of the Old Town are the Royal Castle, King Sigismund's Column, Market Square, and the Barbican. Another important historic district is the New Town. It was formed at the turn of the 14th century as an independent city and after 1791, due to the tenets of the Constitution of May 3, 1791, was incorporated into Warsaw.
Although today's Warsaw is a fairly young city, it has many tourist attractions. Apart from the Warsaw Old Town quarter, carefully reconstructed after World War II, each borough has something to offer. Among the most notable landmarks of the Old Town are the Royal Castle, King Zygmunt's Column, Market Square, and the Barbican.
Further south is the so-called Royal Route, with many classicist palaces, the Presidential Palace and the Warsaw University campus. Also the popular Nowy Świat Street, one of the principal business streets, is worth mentioning. Wilanów Palace, the former royal residence of King John III Sobieski, is notable for its baroque architecture and beautiful parks

As is normal lets start off with the cities Brew-pubs and then work our way through some of the better beer bars. Warsaw does not have that many brew-pubs only 3 as of May 2022.
The Warsaw Beer Festival was first held in 2014, the first event of its kind in Poland. It continues (Now twice yearly March & September) to bring together modern Polish craft-beer tastes and hottest trends. Today’s brewers in Poland are passionate, uncompromising and eager to challenge bland traditions to create striking, modern beers. And the Warsaw Beer Festival is the place to experience the best of the best. Held in the Legia Warsaw Stadium over 3 floors with street food vendors outside. One of our favorite beer festivals.
The beer scene is moving so fast in Warsaw at the moment with new bars opening all the time and old favorites closing, if you find a good bar and want to share it please email me the details:
Browary Warszawskie, Haberbuscha i Schielego 2
Open: Daily 12.00 - 22.00
We fell in love with this place. So modern, beautiful, elegant, and somehow shows the history of this place. ❤️ A must-see, must-visit, brewpub! A very comfortable area where you can find beautiful cafes, restaurants, in the separate food hall, places for resting as well as other attractions. The architects managed to create a great concept based on the history of the breweries, while adding a piece of innovation, modernism and modernity to the whole architecture. The place is close to the city center and to the PKIN (Palace of culture and science), and around 10 min walk to Złote Tarasy. The revitalized buildings of the former brewery, the historic Malthouse, the Laboratory, Villa Schiele, and the 170-year-old cellars of Leżakownia, remind us of the former glory of this place. So to the new brewery it's self, as you enter the brewery is to the left with the kit behind the bar and the conditioning tanks to the right of that. They have 19 taps serving some of the best beers in the city IMO all classic styles. There is seating around the bar and some cosy corners and a mezzanine. Back in the main arch its long with an American style bar and seating on the left, to the rear of this is a restaurant are and another bar with 6 taps on the Daily lunch menu is great value and very good quality. There is a great atmosphere in this place. A true comfort and beauty in one place, Browar Warszawskie. Oh and they have a brewery parrot.
Bierhalle Arkadia, Aleja Jana Pawla II 82
One of the Bierhalle chain which does brew on site, they were actually brewing on our visit in the "glass" copper! ...weird. There are two locations in Warsaw and three others in Poland. As there are so few brewpubs in Warszawa it’s a must to do but nothing special. Get the tram from the side of Centralna station it goes direct. The Arkadia shopping mall Bierhalle is larger than its downtown partners, and features an outdoor patio and a bit of green space relief from the busy streets. The 1 litre stein option at 20 Polish Zlotych (about £4) was superior to Browarmia’s 0.5 litre "large" size. You could also settle for a 0.4 litre size for 8 Zlotych (roughly £1.40 ). Bierhalle aims for a younger crowd, especially on the evening. All in all, the beer here isn’t bad, but it doesn’t match a chain such as Rock Bottom in the USA. Also a restaurant at;
Bierhalle, Światowida 17
Spacious, contemporary mall with popular retailers, eateries & a cinema, plus a grocery store.
Maryensztadt Craft Beer & Food, Szeroki Dunaj 11
Open: noon to midnight
Located in the Old Town, intended to showcase the Maryensztadt beers with small food pairings. Cavernous and spacious rooms, with a warm inviting atmosphere. It is slightly upmarket and the staff are a a lot of ponciness! (IMO) They have 16 beers on tap, most of them from Maryensztadt, plus lots more bottles in the fridge, also mostly from the same brewer. Above average fare for the most part. A beer paddle is also available upon request.
Right lets hope that the brewpubs have got you thirsty for more interesting beers and you won't be disappointed as the city has embraced the new "multi-tap" style bars. We start with our two favorite ones and then take you to a number of other great bars. Na zdrowie. Vivat
Kufle i Kapsle, ul. Nowogrodzka 25
Bar : Hours: 16:00 - 02:00
Nice, modern bar, kind of small with a front room and some sofas in the back room. The pub also has a garden off Nowogrodzka. Absolutely packed at weekends, but a very nice vibe. The staff are quite knowledgeable about beer. An excellent selection of beer, featuring a mix of Polish craft beer, Czech/German imports, and European/US craft. Also of note is they have 2 English Beer engines serving cask stouts. Overall highly recommended and a must do bar. This place is all about the beer!
Kufle i Kapsle Żoliborz, ul. Popiełuszki 19/21.
Open 16:00 - 00:00 Daily
Opened November 2014. The location is quite far from city centre (near Marymont metro station). The place is small but cosy with 6 taps and 1 hand pump. Good selection of Polish and foreign craft beers on taps as well as in fridges.
Kufle i Kapsle Powiśle, Solec 46A.
Open: Sun-Thu 16-24, Fri-Sat 16-2
Another sister bar with a modern looking interior. About 15 taps of mostly Polish beers. Same minamilist urban interior.
Cześć, ul. Grzybowska 2
Hours 16:00- last guest!
A great funky chill out atmosphere 🙃, with an emphasis on good Polish craft beers SERVED FROM 9 taps plus a small bottle selection. Its all about quality beer in here and not quantity. We love this bar as the turn round of beers is very fast, turning over quickly enough that if you go back the next day there are new beers on and both of the guys behind the bar have a passion for the beers. A great locals bar, who are very friendly and make you welcome😜. Located under a tower block. It is a one room bar. Basic snacks are also available. The only good beer place in this part of city centre. This is another must do bar in Warsaw or let me put it this way, if you are in Warsaw and you don’t visit this place you do not love beer. Na zdrowie.😃
Drugie Dno, Nowogrodzka 4
Open: Sun-Mon: 12:00-23:00, Tue-Thu: 12:00-00:00, Fri-Sat: 12:00-02:00
A trendy place in an area with a bunch of good craft beer places. It’s a nice looking bar, open brickwork and industrial style done well, there’s 2 rooms with the front being high seating and louder music. The back room is lower seating and more food focused. Decent selection of 20 Polish craft on tap. Nice place.
Drugie Dno Ochota, Tarczyńska 5/9
Open: Wed 17-24, Thu 12-22, Fri-Sat 12-24
A cool interior, nice (and inexpensive) pizza, nice people behind the bar, a good choice of beers on taps. The location is seemingly off the beaten track but no problem
Chmielarnia, Twarda 42
Hours: Mon - Thu: 11:00 am - 12:00 am; Fri: 11:00 am - 2:00 am; Sat: 12:00 pm - 2:00 am; Sun: 12:00 pm - 12:00 am
Away from the beaten track but definitely ’must see’ place for beer geeks! Tucked away in the basement of a fishing club and well worth a visit. The combination Very well informed Staff, 16 taps, 2 fridges, tasty asian food is a masterstroke. The only downside's are that it’s usually hard to get a table and the acoustics down there mean it gets very noisy. During the summer they have a very decent outdoor seating area 30 metres up the street.
Chmielarnia Marszałkowska, ul. Marszalkowska 10/16
Open; pon. - czw.: 11:00 - 00:00 piąt.: 11:00 - 02:00 sob.:12:00 - 02:00 niedz.:12:00 - 00:00
Opened April 2015 in a really good location just out of central Warsaw about 15 mins walk . Again excellent curry’s as this is more of a restaurant with a great bar selection. The place is on street level, it looks much bigger, than the original. The atmosphere is cool. With 12 taps with well selected craft beer selection, and a solid bottle selection.
Cuda na Kiju, Nowy Swiat 6/12
Hours: 10.00 - last customer
Plain and simple. Built in a glass house under which used to be Communist Party headquarters in Soviet times. But the pub itself is all urban chic very trendy and modern. Simple and proper glassware.Very friendly staff. The bar is on the ground floor and there is a a larger room downstairs near the kitchen.Nice music, huge space outside and chill atmsphere. Anyway go and have pint there! A bit above average for Polish prices, but by no means expensive. And given the quality of the selection, well worth the visit.
Ja Beer Wocky, Nowogrodzka 12
Open; 13-24 Mon-Thu, 13-02 Fri-Sat, 15-24 Sun
Similar situation with neighbor Kufle i Kapsle. More taps here; 17 vs 12. Located in a historic building the design is a mash-up of industrial and old-fashioned that works well, plus a terrace next to the street. A bit industrial, cosy, but without unnecessary clutter. The staff know their beer and the crowd are far less hipster than some places! The food is fairly basic – but serves well as a quick snack, an addition to the beer, nothing more. Overall a great place that is all about good beer in friendly atmosphere. A must stop to your Warszawa pub crawl.
Craft Beer Muranów, Andersa 23
Open: Sun-Thu: 15-0, Fri-Sat: 15-1
A craft beer bar to the north of the city centre, easily reachable by tram. Rather spacious setup on two floors, with a mellow atmosphere and lots of tables to sit at. They only serve 0,3 and 0,5 litre pours, with not much of a mark-up for a large glass (also happy hour between 3 and 6 p.m. will get you a large beer for the price of a small one). Slightly wonky pricing there. 15 taps, mostly domestic, some foreign, always a well-chosen mix. Friendly English-speaking bar staff as well.
Brewski Craft Beer, Żurawia 32/34
Open: Daily 15.00 - 02.00
A new multitap was created in place of the controversial Piwpa. Serving incredible beer from 60 craft beer taps. Staff extremely helpful advising on types of all beer. Thoroughly recommend this bar. Lots of dark beers. Now lots of comfortable leather soafers. All freshly decorated including the WC's the wall's are still covered in bottle tops though, the more things change the more they stay the same? 😎
Hopito Craft Beer & Pizza, Żurawia 32/34
Open: Tues - Sun 12.00 - 00.00
A great place with amazing Neapolitan pizza 🍕 and super interesting selection of craft beers from 18 taps, in the same building as Brewski above ^^
PiwPaw - Beer Heaven, Foksal 16
Hours; Daily 16.00 - 23.00
Sister pub to Piw Paw, opened mid 2014 If you are a beer fan, you gonna be in heaven here. But if you don't, eeeee... Basically its an "L" shaped room with a really long bar to accomodate all the taps. Great murial's on the celings tall tables and chairs with a "skoking cage" near the WC's. Beer range is similar to the main pub across town. Same format applies. Its very busy at weekends and booking is recomended. Worth a visit especially in the afternoon when not many other places are open!
Po Drugiej Stronie Lustra Foksal 16
Absolutely impressive interior with old mirrors, dimmed red light and some unconventional decorations. Music suits the place well and it’s not to loud. Very good selection of bottled beers plus a few ones one tap. To complement the beer, you can also enjoy crisps, peanuts, salty sticks, Russian rusks, cheese braid, mouldly cheese, dried squid, spicy cod, pickles and dried sausages. When not crowded, A must-see. Service so-so! Located in the same building as Piw Paw Beer Heaven ^^.
Kiełba w Gębie, Koszykowa 63
Open: Daily 09.00 - 00.00
A cool place in a stylish food hall serving incredible Polish food. The sausages are amazing as is the pierogi. The staff are super friendly with suggestions and speak excellent English. They have 6 craft beer taps available but you can also get wine or cocktails at the nearby bars. Very reasonable prices.
Koktajl Mokotowa, Puławska 67
Open: Daily 16.00 - 23.00
This bar is a nice and cosy place with a rare interior design which makes it cool place to hangout with friends. A good selection of 12 beers on tap for the discerning drinker. The staff is very friendly, the beer is great and it’s not too expensive either. Quite dark inside, seats at the bar, plus street seating.
Same Krafty, ul. Nowomiejska 10
Open 15:00 - 00:00 Daily
Small craft beer place in a heart of Warsaw Old Town. Eight taps with mostly Polish beers. A long narrow front room, that is very nice the bar is in a room to the rear. A great new little bar opened December 2014. Great pizza and burgers. A great place to quaff a few beers. The prices are quite low (especially when you realize it’s old town). The staff speak English on basic level, which is 100% better than my Polish.
Same Krafty vis-a-vis, Nowomiejska 11/13
A small cosy place in the old part of town across the street from the other Same Krafty bar. This bar has 10 taps and a good selection of domestic and foreign beers. Service was excelant, and well informed, they know their beer. The interior is the bar area with high stools and a cosy alcove to one side. Beer food is served. Its more of a pub than its sister bar. Only draw bar is one WC! ( But that seems to be the norm on Poland anyway!)
Gorączka Złota, Wilcza 29
Hours, Mon - Fri 13:00- 24:00 Sat 17:00-24:00 Closed Sun
This is a nice cosy pub on Wilcza street. Only 5-6 small tables. Hard to get seat especially weekend evenings. The selection is quite small. Just 4 taps. This is a place with definitely the best service and food in Warsaw , but only four taps. You are certain to get a fine beer from Pinta or Ale Browar, the two best micros in Poland (IMO). Highly recommended.
Klubokawiarnia KEN54, Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej 54/lokal U-1
Open: Mon- Fri 16.00 - 00.00 Sat - Sun 14.00 - 00.00
Probably the best bar in Ursynow! Nice owners and a friendly local crowd. A good selection of 13 craft beers on tap. It's been very quiet early doors, but was told that later it's quite the opposite. Book your seat or be prepared to stand or sit outside as the club is not very large.
Czeska Baszta, Wieżyca, Ul Solec, Most Księcia Józefa Poniatowskiego 81B/B22
Bar : Hours: 16:00 onwards
A rustic interior with a small collection of Czech gadgets. Nice selection of Czech bottled beers plus a mix of Czech and American/British ones on tap. It’s located inside a bridge, so you feel the whole bar slightly trembling when a tram drives above, which is really interesting in a way. Prices are far too high for Czech beers, but average when it comes for Warsaw. This place is located in the Poniatowski Bridge span and it’s not easy to find for the first time but your efforts will be rewarded. They serve only Czech beer! (Why if you want to drink Czech beer then go to Prague) Basic Czech snacks are also available (you should try fried cheese and dabelske tycinky).
Cafe Bar Paragraf, al. Solidarności 84
Open: mon-fri: 9-23, sat: 15-23, sun: closed
Good place with dedicated section for smokers, not so many craft beers, but great service and ambiance compensate this.
PINTA Warszawa Craft Beer & Food, Chmielna 7/9
Open: Daily 12.00 - 02.00
Located in what looks like the old Mikkeller? Anyway, it is conveniently located near the "bar cluster". A modern looking bar on two floors and with patio. Flights are available. Ok service good prices. There are 20 taps plus a fridge full of bottles. This is definitely worth checking out, especially if you like Pinta beers.
Bar Small Beer (Małe Piwo), ul. Oleandrow 4
A small beer bar with a Berlin vibe to it, tucked down a side street parallel to one of the main arterial roads, and isolated from the noise. A bit too compact - sit up and beg at the front, or chose to shut yourself in the cupboard at the back. Staff are friendly, and happy to assist plus know something about the beers they served! Range was easily 80-100 brews, from many dozens of the new breweries in Poland. Covers all the style bases, from Berliner Weise to Imperial stout. Very little foreign, but why would you waste time with that when in Poland drink Polish. A Must visit place.
Hoppiness Beer&Food, Chmielna 27/31 lok.76
Open;Mon - Thu: 10:00 am - 12:00 am; Fri-Sat: 10:00 am - 2:00 am; Sun: 10:00 am - 12:00 am
More a restaurant then a pub. Its a cosy place in a centre of Warsaw that has lots of seating plus a terrace outside. The 12 taps, mainly with Polish craft beers + selection of bottled imports. Very nice service, with good food.
Yellow Cab, Popiełuszki 19/21
Open Monday - Thursday 17:00 - 02:00 Friday - Sunday 17:00 - last guest
A bar that beats with the heart of New York City! The yellow taxi has a wide selection of craft beer from interesting Polish, Czech and Belgian breweries. In addition, there are four taps, often with rare draft beers, from which you can even take them home in re-sealable plastic bottles. Yellow Cab is not only a place for good beer, but also (according to many) the best burgers in Warsaw with high quality Polish beef and fresh ingredients. There's also small snacks and vegetarian options.
Celibar, ul. Świętojańska 27
Hours: 11:00 onwards
This very central cafe bar / beer cellar has a very impressive range of Polish beer in bottle from a well laid-out and informative menu which actually tells you the brewery names too! The upstairs is a cafe (to attract tourists from the main square just around the corner) and downstairs is a more rustic beer cellar bar with - I think - the same beer range. For where this place is it’s very good indeed... there’s nothing mega-rare, but most scoopers will be able to fill their boots with plenty of mainstream (yet still hard to find) Polish bottled beer.
Pub Pod Mosteczkiem, Wieżyca B-35 Mostu im. Poniatowskiego
Open Monday – Saturday 16:00 - 23:30
A cosy pub with an unforgettable atmosphere. Located in one of the historic towers of Józef Poniatowski Bridge on Wioślarska street. They have 50 seats in the pub, with most at the bar in the main room and some situated on a mezzanine and a small room on the first floor. They also have a roofed beer garden, where, thanks to operating heaters, you can enjoy till late autumn, or even all year long. Beers are from Kompania Piwowarska and Grupa Żywiec plus a stock of over 180 different beers, also from smaller Polish breweries, such as Cornelius, Ciechan and Kormoran, as well as 18 ciders. The most recent addition have been products of the Russian Балтика brewery. Every beer geek will find something for them among the available dark, pale, wheat and honey beers.
Piana Bar, Grójecka 120
Open: Daily 16.00 - 00.00
Finally the craft beer place in Ochota! The beer selection is rich and well-tailored, on both the taps and bottles. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the current beers. Food selection could be a bit wider as one certainly gets hungry over a beer 😉. A very nice place with a cool atmosphere. Great to go there with your friends and chill out.
Beer Station PUB Centrum, Lwowska 17
Open: Tues - Sun 15.00 - 01.00
A great pub in centrum. Awesome prices, and the Best music, plus beer from 12 taps. Very clean WC and staff speak English and Russian and Polish. Definitely worth checking out. So cosy and a soulful place to spend time with friends. Good beer, good atmosphere, peaceful vibe.
Beer Station, Kępna 15/LU1
Open: Daily 14.00 - 00.00
A cool place with a great atmosphere and a wide choice of reasonably priced beer. Definitely worth visiting! :)
Craft Beer Muranów - Piwny Świat, Gen. W. Andersa 23,
Open: Daily 15.00 - 00.00
Muranow Craft Beer - Beer World is an absolutely must go bar on a map of Warsaw for beer lovers. They have 12 taps and bottled, canned beers. A cool vibe with a great selection of music. Quite a dark inside, but with a seating option outside.
Tarantino Craft Beer & Food, Parkingowa 0
Open: Daily 12.00 - 03.00
An interesting place with an interesting name. Lots of taps [12], a nice spacious interior, leather sofas and armchairs. A nice selection of bottles. Polish crafting and mass productions, with imports of a few Czech, German, even the old ones, standard Belgium, some Swedish beers as well. But from the "waffles", unfortunately only Grolsch. But a good place at the corner of the street under a car-park, right across the street from Piw Paw, so worth hitting. Friendly service. Red urinals shaped as "lips" in the gents toilet! Not an upper tier place in Warsaw, but if you run out of nearby places to check out, this is worth a look.
Qufel Beer Park, Górczewska 124
Open: Tues - Sat 10.00 - 23.00
A large sports bar/restaurant with lots of space, a good atmosphere. Beer selection wide for a bar, although prices are high. Lots of taps, flights of 4 beers avaiable. Nice and friendly service. Lots of TV's to show sports and lot of different bar games such as billiards or table football.
Stacja Grochów - Multitap, Grochowska 178/184
Open:Sun-Thu 12-22, Fri-Sat 12-24
A really cosy place. Bright interior, sofas in the corner and quite a spacious section of the plaza outside the door make the quality of the ambiance. The 8 taps, are good and quality craft beers from Poland, some bottles in a fridge. Very taste meals, from fries to steaks. Good choice for dinner and evening with friends.
The Taps, Sienkiewicza 4
Open: Sun-Wed 15-24, Thu 15-1, Fri-Sat 15-3
Located a block from Artezan and worth checking out. In a business district, so nice and quiet. A large, two-storey bar in the city centre with a rather darkly-lit interior and a very modern industrial decor. The back room has music and huge video projector showing sports (usually football). 15 taps, good selection of Polish craft beers good tick's. Service was fine, even pointed out to me that a large glass of beer costs the same as a small one during happy hour.
Kicia Kocia, Stanów Zjednoczonych 68
Open: 16.00 - late?
It's not a mulltitap, it's a club-café with a few taps and a nice overview of Polish bottles in the fridge, with a nice cut, a bit of a hipster mood (but in this positive hip hipster sense) - I like it!
Bobby Burger & Multitap, Koszykowa 67.
Open 08:00 - 00:00 Daily
The unique combination of a multitap pub and burger bar.
The restaurant boasts 10 taps with regional beers and craft brews.

PIWOmaniaK, Aleja Jana Pawła II 61, lok. 203
Open; Mon-Fri 13:00 - 21:00, Sat: 12:00-21:00
A small shop, but it is the temple of craft beer. Every wall is occupied by craft beer - from Poland and international craft beers (even from USA, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil..., but mainly from Europe). Friendly service in English by the owner. Who has good recommendations on styles and definitely good prices. Likely the best and most thoroughly well-researched selection in Warsaw.
Rodzinka Bis, ul. Pejzażowa 2 lok.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-12pm / 3pm-9pm Sat 8am-1pm / 4pm-9pm
Awesome little shop stuffed with Polish micro beers, some Latvian and German beers as well. No Belgians that I could tell, which is good, leaves more room for the Polish micros! The guy speaks some German, I’m not sure of his fluency because my German sucks and my Polish is worse, he tries to help and make suggestions.
SmakPiwa.pl, Al. Lotników 12
An online shop! All good and tasty beer from Belgium. You can acquire lambicki Lindemans and other beers from Belgium. Accept wholesale orders. A lot of news. Prices average, but not expensive. A lot of different types of glass for beer. Nice contact and fast shipping. recommend.
Alkohole 24 Viva Dom, ul. Puławska 73/75
Hours: 13.00 - 00.00
Good shop located on the main street. Nice variety and wisely chosen beer on the shelves. The prevailing strongly Belgium, a little German and a little bohemian. A lot of commemorative sets and beers in boxes. Recommended for lovers of top-fermented beers.
Czarodziejka Gorzałka, Kabacki Dukt 4/3
Hours: 14.00 - 22.00
Very good selection, all Polish micros plus an impressive array of foreign beers, a lot of top American breweries, plus the likes of Mikkeller, Siren , To Ol, Nogne etc, The owner is very active on the beer market and responsive to clients’ suggestions . Good prices. Definitely the best beer shop in Warsaw at the moment. Highly recommended though it is at the very south of Warsaw in The Kabaty district. Worth a trip.
I hope you found my guide to the brewpubs and bars in Warsaw useful?
Now you just need to get yourself out there and start the beer adventure for yourself!
R.I.P.
BrowArmia Krolewska, ul.Krolewska 1
Hours: Closed? Dec 2021
Efficiently located, in a place that ends up for many tourists to be just on the right spot when they want to have a beer after a walk over the old town. Four of their own brews on tap at the time of our visit and all of them were quite decent, the Malinowe (Roseberry) was my favourite it was a bright red in coulour and a sour fruity taste, mmm. Also the Stout was very nice. The service was polite and quite efficient. The food was quite nice too. It has two levels with the brew kit being in the basement. The ground floor has two areas with lots of dark wood and beer memrobillia. Plus and outside beer terrace. In my oppinion this is the best brewpub in Warsaw by far. Now part of the Bierhalle Chain!
Browar de Brasil Warszawa, Marszalkowska 80 Closed?
What is going on in this place? Very much a restaurant, and with that atmosphere. Another chain of brewpubs offers a really unique some might say odd (I certainly do) experience: A German bier garden concept with a Brazilian theme placed in Poland. This branch is placed centrally in Warsaw. Rather loud samba music, really annoying after 10 minutes. Food and service was good, plentiful and fast. If you are seeking a bizarre experience and beer is not top of your list then why not try this place? They do three beers that are quite drinkable if not out of this world.
Artezan Craft Beer Pub, Stanisława Moniuszki 1a Closed ?
Opened in September 2016. A quite modern interior with very clean lines, rather Scandinavian, with lots of light-coloured wood and bright colours. Eight taps serving some of the tastiest and competitively priced beer in the city, also coffee and cakes! A great addition to the cities beer scene.
Cafe Bar Bla Bla, Nowogrodzka 22 ? Possibly Closed ?
Another place on a Warsaw craft beer trail. Located just round the corner from top rated Kufle i Kapsle. 10 taps with only Polish crafts. About 10-12 bottles (also Polish crafts). Nice simple interior. The staff seems not to know much about craft beers, but I’m sure they’re going to learn fast, it’s a new place. Worth checking out.
Beerhub, Powstańców Śląskich 20B
OPEN; 3pm to late daily. ? Possibly Closed ?
A neat find, in the Jelonki district, right opposite Hala Wola on Powstancow Slaskich. Just up the road from Polczynska. It's a pub/shop, with eight draft beers, wine and many types of bottled beers. They do 1l take-away’s of the draft beers, have a nice little garden and provide snacks to go with the beer; The Manager speaks very good English
Mikkeller Bar Warsaw, ul Chmielna 7/9
Open: Mon-Thu 12-1, Fri-Sat 12-2, Sun 12-1 ? CLOSED
Your usual Mikkeller Bar in terms of ambiance and decor. The service was better than usual though. 20 taps with mostly Mikkeller, Warpigs and some Belgians. Only 4 taps of Polish beers, which is a downer to me as a tourist, but probably very interesting if you live in the city. Extremely high prices for Warsaw
Lucyfer, Wileńska 43 CLOSED
A small atmospheric pub in the Pradze (Prague) district of northern Warsaw. A cosy, wooden interior and a large selection of regional beers. There is the possibility of organizing private events and parties.
Kwadrat, ul. Poznańska 7 CLOSED
Small bar with micros including Gontyniec Gniewosz from Amber and quite a few bottled niepasteryzowane beers such as Ciechan, Łomża and Lwówek. Well worth a look, very close to the Wine of Dreams shop and tram routes.
Piw Paw, Zurawia 32 CLOSED
Great place for those who won’t touch bottled beer? 57 taps, I think all were functional. Staff are friendly and welcoming, seem to know their stuff. I love the idea of being able to have a small sampler for 1 PLN, very useful when many beers on offer are not widely known. Decent selection of bottles too. Ambiance as such doesn’t exist here. Absolutely crowded at night butin the afternoon it is basically empty. Serving size is 0,5L glass (standard pint glass), 1L pet bottle for take away or 10ml tasting glass!
Piw Paw Mazowiecka, Mazowiecka 9 CLOSED
The third Piw Paw, and more of the same 69 taps, that serve half litre only. Its a two room bar, with the toilets downstairs. No Wi-Fi. Basic beer food is served. OK if passing but as with all Piw Paw bars nothing special ! IMO
Bierhalle, Światowida 17 CLOSED 2022
Brewery pub serving Czech and Bavarian-style beers and Polish snack dishes in a buzzy beer hall vibe.
Bierhalle, 765 Nowy Świat CLOSED 2022
Brewery pub if you are walking passed why not call in for a bier it's OK and food is good, especially the lunch time buffet.
Jedna Trzecia, Wilcza 52
CLOSED (Late 2015)
Small but cosy with some space outside and nice wooden bar. 8 taps with all crafts (also US), 3 fridges with just perfect bottles. The staff are well known in beer society - interesting, communicative and helpful guys. Overall quite good, raw and simple.
Wine of Dreams, Koszykowa 53 CLOSED
A bottle shop in the centre of Warsaw near Constitution place/plac Konstytucja. Friendly staff, huge selection of beers from small Polish breweries, e.g. Fortuna, Radom, Ciechan, Lwówek Slaski... Also beers from Belgium, Germany, Netherlands etc. God prices. Definitely worth a visit!
Hopsters Multitap, al. Jana Pawla II 45 A lok. 56. CLOSED (Late 2016)
Opened October 2014, the staff are friendly and seem pleased to see customers. A fairly small place but it is spread over 3 floors so you should find a seat. They have 20 taps, usually about 70% from Polish craft breweries. The rest is foreign craft. 250/330/500ml sizes, I’m also a fan of those 0.25 glasses, you can try more brews in a single session. There is very little in the way of decoration and not a vast amount of atmosphere. Only four tram stops from the city centre, so not exactly far out of your way.
Spiskowcy Rozkoszy, Żurawia 47 CLOSED!
Nice place on the beer map of Warsaw. Two levels (ground floor and the basement), around 7 taps and wide range of bottles. You’ll find they have a decent selection of Polish micros and some Czech/German/Ukrainian beers. Staff are very friendly. Great ambiance and how the place is decorated, although the flashing toilets are a little creepy. A good addition to the bar scene in Warsaw.
Lemoniadowy Joe, Chmielna 28A (w bramie) CLOSED!
Lemoniadowy Joe is a pub filled with positive energy as well as souvenirs and objects from around the world, which adorn its cosy interior. The menu includes a good selection of beers - from craft, regional and larger breweries - and numerous stronger drinks.
Beerokracja, Marszałkowska 99/101 CLOSED!
A cellar bar just of the centre. If you like both live rock music and craft beer, this is for you. They have 12 taps with a quality selection of Polish beers, and a few bottle. Its basically one large room with a small games room on the way to the toilets.
Brewdog Warszawa, Widok 8 CLOSED (Only Open 10 Months!)
As you would expect Brewdoggy industrial interior. Thirds sampler tray always good for tickers, and the selection is 50% Brew Dog – 50% Guest beers, the Polish ones are normally available in most other craft bars and cheaper! The staff like any other Brewdog bar very knowledgeable about beer. I would visit to scoop up BrewDog beers cheaper than in the UK and maybe the bottle selection, but its nothing special for me. Much prefer the Polish craft bars.
Heritage Birreria Artigianale, Tamka 9
CLOSED!
A small bar on the corner of Tampa street. Very cosy and with a handful of seats. A new twist on the multi-tap concept: ten taps here, with the hook being the slant towards Italian (and British) breweries, plus a big bottle selection. The staff are great and very friendly/knowledgeable. The atmosphere is such you don’t want to leave: big windows, cool design, this lot have it licked. The prices are cheaper than other bars in the centre. Worth to stop if you are in the area.
