Palma de Mallorca (Illes Balears) is a resort city and capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca), in the western Mediterranean. The massive Santa María cathedral, a Gothic landmark begun in the 13th century, overlooks the Bay of Palma. The adjacent Almudaina is a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence. West of the city, hilltop Bellver Castle is a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape. The craft beer scene in Mallorca is now quite good and most pubs you go to will have at least a few bottles of local brews or International craft beers. Most of the breweries are outside Palma, but it's far from a large Island so you should beable to visit most of the breweries/brewpubs, so there are 7 to go at as of June 2022.
Forastera Cerveza Artesana, Av. Constitución 34
Is located small town of Alaró at the foot of the mighty Tramuntana mountain range. This brewery and taproom was established in 2013 by one of the Guys from Hops&Barley in Berlin. You can choose from an impressive selection of craft beers. Inside its quite modern and they have a nice with long beer hall style tables. The brewery is all stainless steel and looks well used. They also offer a pop up beer stand for street festivals.
Cerveceria Tramuntana, Carrer de Caro 14
Located in Palma’s trendy Santa Catalina neighbourhood, so within easy stumbling distance of the city centre. While first and foremost a pub serving craft beer, the Cerveceria Tramuntana also brews their own beers. They have 16 taps, usually with 2 of their own beers on then the others are a mix of International Brews, plus there are over 200 bottled beers available. The vibe is friendly, which is good as the place is very small and dark. Lots of cartoon beer related art work adorn the walls. Well worth checking out.
Adalt Brewing, Arxiduc Lluis Salvador 40
A great little micro brewery with a taproom that is open a few days a week, Wednesday to Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Its quite long and narrow inside and the atmosphere is very good, although it has little decoration, is very cosy. They also have a large cool "patio" where you can enjoy beers outdoors. You can see the brewery through a window. They have 4 delicious beers on tap and they do cans for take out. The staff/owners are fun, friendly, and easy to make friends with too. 🙃
Beer Lovers (Brewery), Carrer de la Cisterna, 7, Alcúdia
A microbrewery located in the centre of the pretty town of Alcúdia. Set in a traditional stone building in which the founder’s grandparents used to live. The owner is extremely nice and gives a great rundown on their brewing operations. The brew kit take centre stage, and they have a cool courtyard were you can supp some really good beers. The brewery is also known as "Companyia Cervesera del Nord de Mallorca" Otto says a must do visit 🤩
Cas Cerveser, cerveza natural de Galilea, Puigpunyent

You can find these excellent quality craft ales in most of the larger supermarkets around the island.
Sullerica Cervesa Artesana (Cerveza de Mallorca), Camí des Camp Llarg, 20, 07100 Sóller
A micro brewery, making a good range of ales, stouts, porters and IPA. These beers are now sold successfully throughout Mallorca. If you want to try the whole range, then I suggest to you visit their charming new bar in Carrer Vicari Pastor, just off the Plaza and near the Correos. The beers aren't cheap, but the consistent quality is high, and the range is good.
Sa Jugueteria, Carrer del Pes del Formatge, 4, 07002 Palma
Just the most funky and groovy bar in Majorca! The decorations are so crazy and all the time there is something to watch for. There's pretty much every 80's toy imaginable, ranging from Mr Potato Head to Darth Vader. Memorabilia is all over the bar, the walls, and hanging from the ceiling. It's every 80's child's fantasy, and it serves a good range of beers. A really really nice bar. Also the staff are nice, friendly and helpful.
Atomic Garden, Carrer de Borguny 2, 07013 Palma
A craft beer minded rock bar with a movie theme, with Facehuggers crawling on the ceiling, and Hulk hands and movie posters all over the bar, this is a homage to film and music. Not like a Hard Rock Cafe as real metalheads go here. There is a good range of beer on tap, while the bottle selection is pretty epic, and there's more than enough local stuff to try.😜
Lórien, Carrer de les Caputxines 5A
An excellent beer bar with a nice mix of locals and tourist. It has a kind of elvish theme! It’s a small space but packs in a lot of seating. The bar is pretty cool with a "beer crate" look with lots of cool craft breweries on them. Lots of wood and beer signs and posters on the walls. They have 6 taps and a great bottle selection including beers from most of the breweries in Mallorca plus numerous Spanish mainland beers and a small but well selected variety from Europe and the US. The food is simple sandwiches using local cheeses, meats and seafood, great tapas but no full meals. The staff are nice and friendly. Otto says, definitely worth a visit if you are in Palma and would like to sample a local beer or escape from bland lager 👍🏻
Guirigall, Costa d'en Brossa 14A
A nice small bar with friendly and helpful staff and a nice local clientele. A good atmosphere. There are three taps, one rotating with artsanales. Inside its quite a dark place like dive bar and its over two floors. Otto says, this place is just a short walk with from Lorien, so is absolutely worth a visit. 👊🏽
Beershooter, Carrer de Pou 12
One of the better beer place in Palma just around the corner of Tramuntana (above). They have 6 taps with Spanish beers and fridge with some bottled gems included two beers contracted brewed for bar? Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, a nice modern interior and a good atmosphere.
Café a Tres Bandas, Plaça de Barcelona 20
A café theatre with impro sessions several times a week. Set out with theatre seating and some tables, lots of books adorn shelving on the walls. They have quite a good selection on 10 taps, 2 Spanish micros, a few Belgian or German beers, plus one commercial lager. The beers are always in very good condition. A cool atmosphere. It is super cosy, you can play billiards and tabletop games and even SNES. Great friendly helpful staff. Otto says all in all it's a cool place to eat, drink and chill.🙃
La 5á Puñeta, Carrer de les Caputxines 3
An unassuming tapas bar (puñetas are Basque-style tapas) with a surprisingly good selection of microbrews from the Baleares and mainland Spain. Well worth a visit. Located just 5 meters off the busy Carrer de la Unio and close to Passeig del Born. The staff are both friendly and helpful and the prices are more than fair. Otto says, a bar in the old tradition, the delicious tapas and beer choices make this a must 😊
Cervecería Byblos, Carrer de Jafuda Cresques 14
A small corner cafe bar with street seating. They have 2 taps, one craft, one macrobrew, plus a full fridge with Spanish craft beer and others. Quite far from centre. The staff are nice and helpful. If you are in the area, it´s good place for dinner with some beer.
Biere-Express, Carrer de Cartago 47
A Dutch style bar with loads of beer memorabilia on the wall to give a faux authentic feel. Quite a busy bar with a DJ that plays a mix of 80s 90s and dance music. Overall good ambience with a variety of beers to choose from but nothing for the beer geek.
Del Món Beer Shop Palma, C/ del Marquès de la Fontsanta 10
A wonderful local beer store in a very nice neighbourhood, offering a large selection of craft beers from all over the world. A friendly and helpful young couple that owns the shop. The prices are pretty cheap compared to the quality of the beers. Absolutely worth a visit if you love craft beers.
Son Vivot, Pl. Ports pinata 1
A small deli with 400 different kinds of craft and local food, cheese and meat. They have about 35 to 40 beers all from Mallorca so a decent selection given the narrow scope. Each beer had a small poster with flavor and ingredients details. Specialties include excellent sobrassadas of different types and sizes, a wide range of wines, cheeses and oils, biscuits, spices, jams and marmalade. Nice range of traditional Mallorquin pottery Siurell whistles (yes, whistles, an ancient tradition) in larger than usual sizes. Friendly staff to guide you. Located very near the train and bus station. Otto says, have a baguette (or llonguet) made freshly to take away.😜
