Gdynia is a port city on the Baltic coast of Poland. It’s known for its modernist buildings, including the Museum of the City of Gdynia, which has exhibits about local history. Kościuszki Square, with a distinctive fountain as its center, leads to the waterfront. The WWII destroyer ORP Błyskawica and 1909 tall ship Dar Pomorza, now museums, are moored on the Southern Pier. Sharks and piranhas inhabit Gdynia Aquarium.
Kamienna Góra Gdynia Funicular. The free funicular shuttling up and down the slope at Kamienna Góra is another new addition to the city, making its first trip in July 2015. The lower station is at the newly revitalised Plac Grunwaldzki, and both this and the upper station were designed to chime with Gdynia’s Modernist architecture. The track is 115 metres long and there’s a single unmanned carriage that can take as many as 12 people up and down the slope between 10:00 and 22:00. The system is passenger operated, with buttons to call the train and start the journey.
Orłowo Pier. Opened during the First World War, this pleasure pier serves the village and seaside resort of Orłowo a few short kilometres down the coast. At one time, when Orłowo was competing with the neighbouring resort of Sopot, the pier was 430 metres long. But after being swept away in a storm in 1949 it is now at 180 metres. People love the pier today for the simple elegance of its whitewashed timbers and benches, and its views to the north of the Orłowski Cliffs. For early risers there’s no better place to watch the sunrise, and within a couple of minutes you’ll come across a few cafes and restaurants.
ORP Błyskawica. “Lightning” in English, this “Grom-class” destroyer is the oldest preserved ship of its kind in the world, having been commissioned in November 1937. ORP Błyskawica was built by the J. Samuel White shipyard on the Isle of Wight, and to save it from destruction was manoeuvred out of the Baltic on the eve of the Second World War. After this it had a busy war, taking part in the evacuation at Dunkirk in 1940 and various battles in Europe and the North Atlantic. The ORP Błyskawica became a museum ship in the 1970s, with a visitor trail that takes you over the deck to inspect a cross section of a torpedo, anti-aircraft guns, depth charges and naval mines. Then you’ll go below, into the radio room, engine rooms and officers’ mess, with plaques explaining each area. (Updated July 2022)
Browar Port Gdynia, Bulwar Nadmowski im. Feliksa Nowowiejskiego 2
Open: Mon-Thu 13-23, Fri 13-1, Sat 10-1, Sun 13-23
A great location on the beach, on the boulevard with nice view to the port and sea. This brewpub is in the modern style large and spacious in a (yes you guessed it) nautical theme. The beer selection is typical for brew pubs- pils, weizen, dark, special. Flights and take away available. They do a full food menu, but the staff are not that interested and there are long waits. Worth a visit for the location though.
Morze Piwa, Skwer Kościuszki 13

Its definitely the best multitap in Gdynia. There is a lot of space, the y have 13 taps with Polish crafts, foreign beer also on a tap or two. Great location, cool ambiance, you can play some board games inside. A beer garden in the warm months. The prices are the same as in any multitap around Tricity area.

Małpi Rozum, Świętojańska 9

A good location in the center of Gdynia. The restaurant is not very big, although interestingly decorated. The service very good. A good choice of craft breweries at very good prices. Everything you would expect from a city centre pub, beats most of the places in Gdynia.
Beczka Chmielu, Hieronima Derdowskiego 9/11
Open: Daily 15.00-00.00
A good craft beer bar with 11-12 taps serving Polish craft beers over 100+ bottled beers. Basic brick interia "urban" feel to the place. Well worth a visit while in town.
Kandelabry Premium Pub, Al. Jana Pawła II 9
Open - Mon-Thu 15:00-23:00, Fri 15:00-2:00, Sat 13:00-2:00, Sun 13:00-23:00
It’s a beach bar close to the city center. About 14-15 taps with several craft beers and some mainstreams coming from small, but not always interesting breweries. The list of bottles is looong... more than 100 beers available. Mainly Polish craft and small & medium regional breweries. The guys at the bar know what they are serving. Inside is rather basic but a cool vibe, worth a stop in for a few ticks.
Piwiarnia Warka Gdynia, Antoniego Abrahama 64
Open - Daily 12.00-23.00
Located just 20 meters from the main street in Gdynia. It has a nice terrace towards a heavily trafficed road. A sports bar feeling, with bar food. About 15 beers in bottle, mainly Polish and 3 beers on tap. Unfortunately, prices are quite high, at least for ordinary Żywiec or Warka.

A bottle shop located in the center of the town. Pretty good selection of mainly Polish crafts, including some bottles difficult to find in other cities. The staff are well informed and aware of what they sell. Quite reasonable prices. There is also a bar so the possibility to drink what you buy. Nice place
